My style is thoughtful and inventive. I’m always mindful of the big picture and I keep my eye firmly on the end-game.
I take pride in being a straightforward practitioner who can cut through the noise and focus on what matters. Whether it be a private equity backed business, a long-established multi-national, a social enterprise or an ambitious start-up, I will get to grips very quickly with a new business and its operating environment.

It’s a privilege to be granted access to an organisation and I don’t take that privilege lightly. Clients need to feel they can share their situation with me honestly and openly, and to know that I will listen and question with humility and without judgement. They need to know they can trust me.
I will draw on robust theory and method, all the while ensuring the unique circumstances and goals of my client are kept centre-stage. I will call out what’s not being seen or said. I’m a pragmatist and I’m very commercially focussed.
Systemic & Holistic
I work to align all aspects of an organisation, including its workflows, its people, its technology and its governance.
I am generally engaged by senior executives, within a business unit or across an entire enterprise. I need this top-level sponsorship because it enables me to move freely across functional boundaries, which in turn allows me to understand the full context of the work. Having the right to roam is critical to my ability to work effectively.
My approach is at all times informed, open, reflective and collaborative. And it’s inherently structured. While it may seem counter-intuitive, it’s structure that enables greater flexibility; giving the freedom to explore and experiment, to test and change tack where necessary, whilst retaining the discipline to see the work through. On occasion I team with complementary specialists when a broader skill set is needed.
The road to a good outcome can at times feel messy, unclear, frustrating. I guide my clients through that process and help them hold their nerve when the going gets tough. I’m not interested in creating dependency and I’m always keen to leave a business with stronger capability than it had before.
